Catherine Sullivan is an experienced compliance professional currently employed with Highmark Health, the second largest integrated delivery and financing system (IDFS) in America. Professor Sullivan has been with the company since 2013, serving as the vice president of integrity and compliance for the enterprise, Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) compliance officer, and director of strategic initiatives for the audit and compliance organization.

Prior to joining Highmark, Professor Sullivan was the managing partner of a compliance consulting firm, Integrity First Consulting. In that position, she assisted health care providers in the development and assessment of their programs, conducting compliance program effectiveness reviews and risk assessments. Before starting Integrity First, Professor Sullivan held positions in regulatory compliance, ethics, health information, and privacy.

She has worked with health care systems across the country to implement and manage comprehensive and effective compliance programs. Professor Sullivan has her master’s in business administration from the University of Scranton and a bachelor’s of science degree from Pennsylvania State University. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Regulatory Compliance from the University of Washington. She is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) through the Health Care Compliance Association.
