Linn Swanson is an experienced ethics and compliance officer, who most recently served as the vice president and chief audit and compliance officer for UPMC, overseeing both the UPMC Ethics and Compliance and Internal Audit functions. Prior to joining UPMC in 1997, Professor Swanson held several diverse positions, including vice president and CFO, The Brother’s Brother Foundation; assistant to the director of nursing, Divine Providence Hospital; immunology and allergy researcher, Grant Hospital; and research nurse, Georgetown University, GCRC Unit.

Professor Swanson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. She is both a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor. Professor Swanson is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and board of directors of Oakland Catholic High School.
