Prof. Dangel directs Pitt Law’s Online SEAL Certificate program and teaches courses on sports, entertainment and art law, social innovation, and commercializing new technologies. While at Pitt Law School, she has published articles and delivered presentations on preparing legal professionals for 21st-century careers. She also co-directs a series of Start Smart Law seminars and workshops for law students and entrepreneurs from the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and the greater Pittsburgh community.
Prior to joining Pitt Law School, Prof. Dangel enjoyed successful careers as a documentary filmmaker, nonprofit entertainment executive, K & L Gates law firm associate, and a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun and Judge Pierre Leval of the Southern District of New York.
Prof. Dangel has degrees from Yale Law School, the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.
